Best Mexican Food in Newport News

I have searched high and low for an authentic Mexican restaurant, and I have found the holy grail of Mexican cuisine. Not only is the food amazing and flavorful, but the service is equally amazing. The owners came to say hello and get feed back, and were warm and welcoming. Thank you to the owner Diana for treating us like family. The Birria Caldo and Tacos were my favs.

The food was great! My husband loved his steak fajitas and my burrito was stuffed to the brim! Our server was very sweet and we had fun talking with her. We sat at the bar and my 32oz margaritas was made by hand and perfect. I could not finish it all and should of got the middle size. There is a Latin store connected to it. We wanted to check it out when we finished our meals but the margaritas made me forget. Next time we will check it out first.

5 stars 10/10 restaurant. I’ve mostly ordered takeout from this spot, always going for the carne asada tacos — and honestly, they’re the best I’ve had from any Mexican restaurant. I load them up with everything they offer: grilled onions, jalapeño juice, lime juice, guacamole, and both the red and green sauces. Restaurant was clean and welcoming. The service was friendly and efficient. A child in our party spilled her water and the server was really nice about the inconvenience. They have a great kids and lunch menu. I ordered the taco salad and it came in a deep fried tortilla bowl and was full to the top with refried beans, rice, taco meat, lettuce and guac. Portions were generous so I wasn't able to finish it on my own. Recommend for a quick and tasty lunch!
